Doctor Who — Tom Baker

We're very proud to have supported Andrew Younger on his fund-raising runs since 2013.

Inspired by the heroics of his childhood hero, Andrew has donned our Fourth Doctor Season 12 Scarf, knitted from finest quality Acrylic, for his various charitable activities in support of Tiny Lives. Set up in 2012, the fund helps over 800 premature babies and their families across the North East and Cumbria each year. With sonic screwdriver in one hand, and a bottle of much-needed water in the other, Andrew's marathons and zip wire challenges have raised hundreds of pounds for the Newcastle Royal Victoria Infirmary's Neonatal Service.

She might be in the process of being upgraded, but we're still very jealous of YouTuber, Caroline Lie, who worked at the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff! The exhibition had a great array of monsters, including the Silence and their Time Ship, Daleks from every era, and the original Ice Warrior costume worn by Bernard Bresslaw in 1967.

On 12^th November 2013, Charlie Higson presented a very special free interactive webcast, aimed at encouraging children's love of books. And he did it in the most stylish way possible: wearing our best-selling Fourth Doctor Scarf!

Organised by Puffin, Charlie introduced fellow novelists, Malorie Blackman, Eoin Colfer, Marcus Sedgwick, and Neil Gaiman (The Doctor's Wife), all of whom had written short stories, released one a month during 2013, as part of Doctor Who's 50^th anniversary celebrations.

Higson is best known as a comedian and writer responsible for such book series as Young Bond, and The Enemy, and TV shows like Jekyll and Hyde, and The Fast Show; his Ninth Doctor story, The Beast of Babylon explores what made Christopher Eccleston's incarnation of the Doctor come back to pick up Rose Tyler (Billie Piper) back in 2005.

Whenever the Doctor lands in the Wild West, suspicion always falls on him. In The Gunfighters, he got embroiled in the gunfight at the O.K. Corral; and in A Town Called Mercy, the townsfolk are more than happy to sacrifice him to the Gunslinger.
